What should be clear before work begins
The proposal and project agreement should identify the work and its conditions. Resolve important uncertainties before approval: a photo or informal conversation is not a substitute for agreed specifications.
- Included areas and work, with exclusions identified.
- Materials, finishes and selections that still need confirmation.
- Amounts, payment stages and scheduling conditions.
- Responsibilities for access, preparation and coordination with other work.
Changes to the agreed scope
Changing a dimension, material or layout can change the work required. A request should be reviewed and documented as a project change where applicable, including its effect on price and timing before the affected work proceeds.
Requesting a change does not mean it is approved or can be made without cost. Project-specific information belongs in the agreement.
Decisions that need written terms
Cancellations, refunds, rescheduling and warranty coverage need finalized conditions. This page does not assign percentages or deadlines that have not been established for the business. Ask for the terms that apply to your project before contracting.
